According to the Mountain View-based search giant, Google Chrome 10.0.648.134 can be downloaded through the Stable and the Beta channels.
The new Stable and Beta Builds of Chrome are offered for all supported platforms, namely Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. The version of Chrome Frame also jumped to 10.0.648.134 with the latest Stable and Beta updates.
A single change is highlighted for the two release, namely an update to the Adopbe Flash player, which is included by default into both.
It’s important to note that the Beta and Stable Channels won’t remain synchronized in terms of Chrome version numbers for very long.
What this means is that testers should get ready for Chrome 11 Beta and Chrome 12 Dev in the immediate future.
As usual, Google does not provide deadlines for the updates it delivers to Chrome Channels, but taking into consideration the fact pace at which the development process is moving, testers will get to play with Chrome 11 Beta and Chrome 12 Dev soon enough.
Chrome 11.0.696.12 Dev brings to the table a variety of bug fixes which will improve the user experience considerably for testers, and that shouldn’t really be a surprise, especially with Google getting version 11 ready to graduate to the Beta Channel.
But Chrome 11.0.696.12 Dev also introduces a major change. Early adopters that download and install the latest Dev Channel update will be able to notice that Google overhauled the Chrome logo.
Chrome now sports a more streamlined visual identity, cleaner than the previous design. With the new logo, Chrome also features new icons, as the redesign impacts all visual cues of the open source browser.
